Thank you for stopping by!  This blog documents my daily adventures in crafting, event planning, card-making, cooking, seeking inspiration, using essential oils, and being a mother and wife. My husband and I currently have 2 adorable Shih-Tzu puppies and one precious baby girl, who arrived almost 7 weeks premature.

Are you crafting a delicious life?

Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary defines the word delicious as “affording great pleasure.” I have used this adjective countless times in the past to describe a favorite recipe or to compliment friends and family on their culinary masterpieces.

I will never forget, however, the first time I heard this word used to describe a life philosophy… During my master’s program, I attended a continuing education workshop hosted by The Missouri Society for Clinical Social Workers where Nicki McClusky presented information on how she coaches clients to embrace a “delicious life.”

The simple pairing of these two words evokes a powerful and inspiring concept in my mind.  Like a delicious meal, life’s adventures are meant to be savored.  Easier said than done, right?!… especially given how consuming job, relationship, and family stress tends to be these days…

I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes:

“The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” — Henry Miller

This blog documents my attempt to put this philosophy into action–observing and savoring delicious moments while attempting to gracefully navigate the challenges and curve balls of daily life.

Cheers to crafting joy and memories one delicious day at a time!
