Some St. Patrick’s Day art inspiration for you this weekend:
To complete this simple art print, I used a journaling card from the St. Patrick’s Day Mini-Theme Collection by Echo Park. Then, I added several text layers and several embellishments, including a center shamrock made out of sparkly gold hearts. Love this simple quote– perfect for St. Patty’s Day.
A couple of tips:
- I placed each line of text on a separate layer in Photoshop Elements. (If there was a scripted word within the line, it also received its own layer.)
- I aligned my text by dragging and dropping ruler guides.
- Fonts: Ostrich Sans and Sverige Script.
- After I had everything the way I wanted it, I merged all the layers so I could easily drag the element onto an 8.5 x 11-inch paper to print.
I loved the way this little journaling card turned out– so, I made it into a greeting card too!
I sized the digital element to be 3-inches wide and layered it onto gold paper and a green die-cut shape. Can’t beat a card that you can make in less than 10 minutes after the digital work is already complete!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day… Cheers to simple DIY projects that add a bit of charm to your home!
