Collecting & Designing Beautiful Memories

Valentine Decorations

Is it just me or does winter start to feel dreadfully long by the time Valentine’s Day rolls around?  Despite the snow still on the ground, these beautiful tulips make it feel more like Spring.

Flower displays happen to be one of my favorite ways to decorate for Valentine’s Day.

Here’s a peak at an evening Valentine table setting I used for Pinks and Drinks one year:

Candle light, flowers (real and fake), and crystal… a tried and true recipe for easy, beautiful decor!

Remember our manzanita tree decked out with Halloween decor? Here it is transformed for Valentine’s Day:

One last decorating idea: create a display featuring treasured cards collected over the years.  This past year, my Dad helped me transform this antique frame leftover from my Great-Aunt’s painting stash into a fully functional display piece.  (He used piano wire to create a backing grid!)  I clipped my favorite Valentines to this frame using a variety of small, decorative clothespins.
